James J. Cordano, III
James J. Cordano, III is President of the James J. Cordano Co. Mr. Cordano has worked in every aspect of the firm’s business, including development, asset management, finance, leasing, and corporate strategy. Mr. Cordano is a principal in the firm and has directly overseen all of its development and operating activities for the past twenty two years.
Prior to joining the Company full time, Mr. Cordano was an attorney with the Sacramento law firm of Hefner Stark and Marois. His primary area of practice was real estate transactions and complex land use matters.
Mr. Cordano graduated from the University of Southern California where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Real Estate Finance. He received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law with Distinction, and is an alumnus of the Harvard University Graduate School of Design Executive Education Program (AMDP).
In addition to his role in the firm, Mr. Cordano has served on a wide variety of boards and committees including as a member of the Board of Directors for the Sacramento Downtown Partnership, Board Member and Past President of the Florin Road Partnership, and Founding Board Member and Chairman of the Loan Committee of a Sacramento based community bank. Mr. Cordano is a California Licensed Real Estate Broker and is a member of the State Bar of California, the International Council of Shopping Centers, LAI Land Economics Society, and the Urban Land Institute.
